The European Union have delayed rollout from the last quarter of 2026 and have postponed the launch until 2027.  Remember that once you have booked your trip, check the dates (Issue date and Expiry date) on your passport to avoid any nasty surprises. The rules are as follows;

• Have a “date of issue” less than 10 years before the date you arrive in France
• Have an “expiry date” at least 3 months after the date you plan to leave the Schengen area.
