REPLACEMENT CHAIRLIFTS IN TERMIGNON AND LANSLEBOURG

The big news in Val Cenis this summer has been the construction works taking place in Termignon where the Grand Coin button lift has been removed and is being replaced with a 6 man chairlift, to be known as the TSD6 Grand Coin.
At the same time works are also taking place to alter the arrival and departure zones of the 6 man Ramasse chairlift, which is being replaced with a telecombi. This type of transport up the mountain alternates between open chairs and closed cabins, on the same cable. The cabins will allow walkers to travel up, without the need to stop the chairlift each time they get on and off. The photos below were taken on 17 September, when the engineers were busy installing the new lift system at the Ramasse.
